In e-conomic you can accrue both purchases and sales (e.g. invoices). We call these purchase and sales accruals respectively. In other words, you can accrue all your vouchers except for customer and supplier payments.
Are accruals automatically created for the entire period when I book my voucher?
No, all vouchers are initially booked on an asset account or an accrual account. A batch run then reclassifies the amount accrued for the period after which you are prompted with a booking preview for confirmation. Here you choose how far ahead you wish to accrue your vouchers.
Can I accrue by the quarter?
Yes. Even if per default you accrue per month in e-conomic, you can choose whether you wish to accrue by the quarter, for six months or for a year when you set up your accrual intervals.
Can I book vouchers in the current accounting year and set them up for full or partial accrual in the next accounting year even though I haven't yet created the next accounting year?
Yes, because the accrual entries are not created as you book the voucher but only after a batch run where you choose how far ahead you wish to accrue your vouchers. Therefore, you don't need to create the next accounting year until you wish to run the accrual batch job for the first period in it.
Can I see which of the vouchers haven't been accrued yet?
Yes, via the ”Accrual accounting report” under the ”Report” section, you can keep track of each voucher and see which vouchers haven't been accrued yet.
Can I see which vouchers are covered by the asset account balance?
Yes, in the accrual accounting report you can find a list of the vouchers included in the balance. This way, you can easily reconcile the balances of the accounts covering e.g. prepayments.
How much does the Accrual accounting add-on module cost?
The add-on module is free of charge. You can activate it yourself in e-conomic under ”Settings” => ”Add-on modules”.
Can I include accrual entries in reports in the same way that I can include day book entries in reports?
No, you can only include accrued entries in e.g. the balance total when they have been booked.
Can I accrue a subscription?
Yes, you can accrue your subscriptions over the period of the subscription.
