What do we mean when we speak about apps?

In e-conomic an app is a program or a connection that allows exchange of data between e-conomic and another program, e.g. a webshop. The connection automates many of the administrative tasks between the two systems so you can spend less time on manual tasks in your company.

In practical terms, this means that when an order is received in the webshop, the customer is automatically registered in e-conomic. Subsequently. an invoice is created and returned to the webshop to be sent to the customer. When the invoice has been paid, the order is automatically updated and booked in e-conomic.

With an app, you can exchange data between the two systems, allowing your program to either extract information from e-conomic (e.g. customer master data) or transfer information to e-conomic (e.g. product data) – or both.
