Our developers have been hard at work improving our system!
With Market Package 32, e-conomic now allows for bulk deletion or barring of products, conversion of customer orders to supplier orders and much more.
Small/Standard improvements
A
bulk deletion/barring function for products is now available. This makes it easy to clean up unused products – both in general and from e.g. incorrect imports. Products that cannot be deleted because they have been used can instead be bulk-barred, thereby hiding them by default.

'Delete or bar products’ option and dialog. Select a product group interval in the dialog to bar or delete products.
Exchange rate differences are now split into four accounts:
Gains and losses, for customers and suppliers, respectively. This makes it possible to distinguish financially between gains and losses and thus gives a better overview of the results for each type.
NOTE: For existing companies AND default setups (both e-conomic and administrator default setups), the existing accounts for exchange rate differences for both customers and suppliers have been copied to receive both gains and losses. This means that users who wish to continue with just one account for customers and one for suppliers (or one for both) won’t need to change anything – they’ll simply be using the same account for gains and losses automatically.

'System accounts’ list with four exchange rate difference accounts (all using the same account number in this case).
When
exporting chart of accounts, the TotalFrom and VATCode fields have been switched, meaning that the field order is now identical to the required field order for importing chart of accounts. This makes it easier to use export/import to transfer a chart of accounts from one company to another.
NOTE: If the source and target company have the same administrator, the easiest way of doing this is of course still for the administrator to apply the source company as a default setup on the target company!
In the
company master information, the
Company reg. no. field (and
VAT no. field, where available) have been moved from the ‘Other information’ form to the ‘Name and address’ form. Since the ‘Other information’ form mainly consists of banking-related information, some users thought they should enter the Company reg. no. of their bank instead of that of their own company.
Remittance advices now also show invoices’ matches against credit notes. Previously, only matches against payments were shown – leading to partially credited invoices being shown with incorrect remainders.
E-mail address validation has generally been loosened: Some users have pointed out that e.g. rejecting national characters wasn’t in line with what’s generally accepted and working, so national characters like ‘æ’, ‘ø’ and ‘å’ are now accepted.
When
deregistering an agreement, an error message is now displayed if users haven’t rated their e-conomic experience. As previously, it is necessary to select a rating in order to deregister.
Stock Management improvements
It is now possible to
convert one or more customer orders to a supplier order. This is a huge improvement for users ordering products based on the orders they themselves receive, since they can now use the order from their customers to create an order for their supplier. This will allow them to save time and reduce the number of errors on supplier orders.

‘Convert to supplier order’ option and dialog. Customer orders can be added to an existing supplier order, or a new supplier order can be created.
It is now possible to
bulk-delete stock adjustment lines and thus save time by deleting several lines at once.
Product name/description can now be edited on supplier orders, supplier invoices and receipts. This enables users to add additional information/instructions for the supplier on a per-line basis.
Project Management improvement
Bug fix:
Registering or approving mileage entries on a date in a barred or closed accounting period is now no longer possible and instead results in an error message.
Local functionality
Finland: The VAT statement has been adjusted to new rules as of April 2011. Furthermore, a new customs declaration report has been added.
Germany: Advanced units functionality – e.g., charge accounts – is now hidden.
