e-conomic has teamed up with Microsoft to create an integration with an online version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
With 18,000 customers in Denmark, e-conomic continues its growth strategy in Europe. In order to achieve a strong position among small and medium businesses abroad that are now also beginning to see the potential of subscription-based applications with no investments, e-conomic has entered into a close collaboration with Microsoft to create an integration with an online version of Microsoft’s popular CRM tool, Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
- Our goal is to offer simple, Internet-based business solutions, and consequently we have high expectations for this complete ERP and CRM offer. We are already present in Sweden, Norway and the UK and well on the way in Germany and Spain. In many European countries, online accounting systems are only beginning to catch on, but we expect the European markets to grow at least as fast as in Denmark. Being able to offer a complete solution with a major player like Microsoft obviously means a lot to us, says Anders K. Hansen, e-conomic international Vice President.
One solution, all included
IDC has adjusted the prospects for online rental software upwards because small companies in particular revise their investment strategy and choose cheaper, more flexible and less binding solutions.
The collaboration between e-conomic and Microsoft allows customers to bring together their financial and customer relationship management systems and pay a fixed subscription price per user per month. e-conomic and Microsoft CRM has a simple user interface meaning that everyone can navigate it easily, and all updates and support are included in the monthly rent.
More options for customers
- For Microsoft, the partnership means an exciting and innovative expansion of our existing product range outside of Denmark. We’ll be able to offer e-conomic’s customers more options because they can choose between a CRM solution to be installed on their own servers or a total hosted online solution, depending on the company’s needs. In Denmark, we still focus on marketing our Dynamics C5 solution and services. However, we see the strategic collaboration with e-conomic as an extra business opportunity for both parties, says Bjørn Skou Eilertsen, Microsoft Dynamics CRM Sales Lead, Western Europe, and continues:
- The partnership with e-conomic also strengthens our hosting partner channel, which currently sells the Dynamics CRM solution on our platform. Even though Microsoft is not a first mover on the hosting market, we expect to become a fast mover as the potential is enormous, says Bjørn Skou Eilertsen.
Organic growth
- We expect this type of online CRM and ERP to have a broad appeal and become very popular in Europe at large as well as in Denmark. Online rental software is a web 2.0 product and requires a different marketing strategy from traditional software solutions. In particular, we will look towards online marketing techniques, and we are convinced that the demand for this type of software will grow enourmously, says Bjørn Skou Eilertsen.
