Mar Sarto is a consultancy specializing in Management and Organization of Companies and in Tax, Labour and Accounting. Furthermore, Mar is a member of the Trade Association of Tax Consultants, Accountants and Business Management of Catalonia.

When I found the e-conomic application, there were not many online applications offering analytic accounting.

I appreciated this, together with the simplicity of the interface, the price and the fact that it was an expanding company at international and Scandinavian level.

What was your first experiencewith the online solution? Did you have any problems?

The support was, and continues to be, immediate, with a personal touch, and the quality of the solutions is ideal. And, yes, I did come across peculiarities of a fiscal nature, but these were overcome.

I liked the way in which e-conomic tackled the situation. It was easy to access e-conomic Spain, in order for us to put forward what we had detected. They found a solution and gave a schedule for when the problem would be solved.

What I liked most was that they met the schedule to which they had committed themselves. In order to adapt to our needs, they also incorporated a small variation in one of the fields of the application which had been requested by some of our clients.

How do you adapt e-conomic to your activity?

There is a feature in the ledger which my clients use on a daily basis, and this is the invoicing functionality under the sales tab. They issue the daily invoices from the company, and from my office, I enter them and transfer the information contained therein to an Excel file.

This enables me to prepare sales statistics corresponding to the needs of my client.

How do you interact with your clients?

My clients can only access the report and sales tabs. It is convenient for them because they find an application which is easy to use and gives them what they need and with very little work needed.

What is the greatest virtue of the program?

With regard to the functional character, I find great value in the possibility of working with several ledgers. I use 6 different daybooks and e-conomic enables me to do so. So I can give a different number to each one and easily identify the entries.

It also enables me to effect partial bookkeeping. In other words, I can enter all the bank ledgers (in the event that a review of the cash entries is required prior to accounting, for example), without the need to select the entries from a general ledger.

But what I most appreciate in the program is the possibility of exporting absolutely everything: ledgers, audits, reports, etc. So it is possible to effect a partial despatch if I pick up an error and again retrieve all the invoices from a ledger, before they are tabulated.

This gives the program a real value-added advantage, because it enables me to use all the information of the company, according to the needs of the client. For example, we can filter the information to produce any statistic, which may be necessary, or interim reports.

How long did it take you to master the operation of e-conomic?

One month to get to know the application in depth and to be able to take advantage of it, but to begin to use it is very easy.
